It's never the most ideal first impression to start off something as significant as a blog with negativity and complaining, but sometimes I feel like that is just life.
Sometimes I feel like everyone expects you to live to a standard or to an expectation that most of the time you don't have for yourself, and yet, you get frustrated and depressed because you feel like you have to live up to it anyways.
Maybe the expectations come from home life, maybe work life or social life, you never really know and maybe it comes from yourself. All of these situations are subject to happen at one time or at different times in one day or different days, the thing is you never quite know, and really, that is what makes it so hard.
Today I got home from a rough shift at work, I work with troubled youth who have issues sexually, and they drain you emotionally. More emotionally than your significant other during her special time of the month. They are entitled and disrespectful and 90% of the time they don't even care about what they put you or anyone else through. (That's half the reason they are in treatment) but today it put me at my wits end. No more mister nice guy. I literally drove the hour home and continued around town looking for jobs. I found some places hiring and put in applications, it was a really really good feeling!
I continued my search online when I came home, as I did so, I created this blog and turned on the T.V. I usually enjoy a good sports channel to unwind on hard days, and Duke was finishing a game against Syracuse and a line that the announcer said, as a freshman off the bench launched the last second three pointer to tie the game, "Don't hang your head when times get tough" and he continued on saying other things, but it got me thinking. It got me thinking about what everyone always says about controlling your life, Be who you want to be and do what you want.
I think its fair to say that when things aren't going the way you want, you are having a hard time with the expectations, re-evaluate, take control and live it up, you only got one chance at life don't throw it away.
